Description:

Scandalous! Shocking! Revolting! Partisan hysteria echoed from San Francisco to Washington D.C. when these murals were unveiled. Powerful voices called for their destruction, yet 30 years later, they saved the building from demolition. The murals tell many stories, from the growth of San Francisco to Cold War politics. Discover the artistic and political drama behind these New Deal treasures - and get a great overview of The City's history.

Next Tour:

Tuesday, December 9 at 10:00 am given by Al Ciabattoni

Notes:

New Deal art, partisan politics, and the history of San Francisco in a nutshell. All these topics and more fill the Rincon Center Historic Lobby. (Indoors)
