Mt. Davidson Stroll

Neighborhood: Mt. Davidson

Description

San Francisco has no shortage of tall structures with staggering views. But there’s something different about being on top of Mount Davidson — the air is fresher, the people are friendlier, and the view you’re enjoying was one earned through your own grit.

Explore the colorful history of San Francisco’s highest hill as we stroll through a beautiful nature preserve up to the 938-foot tall summit. Hear the story of the 103-foot cross that adorns the peak — erected in honor of the Golden Rule; now dedicated to victims of the 1915 Armenian Genocide. It’s sightseeing with a little extra sweat — but we promise it’ll all be worth it.

Note: Includes hilly trails which can be windy and muddy — wear a jacket and sturdy shoes. There will not be restrooms available on the stroll.
