The rich history of the Richmond District goes back to the 19th century and includes robbers roosts and race tracks, squatters and roadhouses, a saloon district and a red light district, as well as charming Victorian row houses and beautiful blocks of Craftsman houses, the 1902 and 1903 Big Games, nickelodeons, an earthquake shack camp, San Francisco's only columbarium, the house of Wyatt Earp, the Jefferson Airplane mansion, and what may be the oldest Chinese laundry business in San Francisco.
