Description

On June 25, 26, and 27, City Guides Civic Center guides will be participating in Charter Day 2026 with special UN Charter Trail tours in San Francisco. The UN Charter Trail commemorates San Francisco as the birthplace of the United Nations—something not many people know. Step into the footsteps of delegates, press, and staff who gathered here for the 1945 United Nations Conference. By bringing this tour to life, we’re sharing the story of San Francisco’s deep connection to the United Nations. Our legendary guides paint a clear picture of that historic moment and how the spirit of international collaboration lives on today and into the future. Whether you’re a visitor, guide, San Francisco native, or a student, there’s something to discover on the UN Charter Trail for everyone. Please see “Notes” below for additional information.
