Dogpatch East – Past, Present, and Future Industries

Description

How did a pastureland surrounded by water on three sides become the industrial center of San Francisco? Learn how steel, gas, sugar, and shipbuilding reshaped the land and created a vibrant community.

In this tour, you’ll hear how Potrero Point transformed from the Gold Rush through the height of World War II, weathered a major downturn, and emerged as one of the city’s fastest-growing areas. Now called Pier 70, you’ll also see new developments in the area and learn about the dynamic future of the city’s southern waterfront.

It’s a designated Historic District you simply can’t miss.
