Dogpatch West – Dutchman’s Flat to Dogpatch

Neighborhood: Dogpatch

Description

Why is it called Dogpatch? No one knows for certain. However, the former working-class neighborhood, Dutchman’s Flat, is now one of the city’s favorite historic districts.

Walk along to learn how waves of boom and bust transformed this area from the Gold Rush through modern day. You’ll see a blend of historic buildings and modern developments, and hear about some of the people who left their mark on San Francisco.

It’s a designated Historic District you simply can’t miss.
