Many travel experts agree that the best time to visit San Francisco is May – June or September – October to avoid the peak tourist crowds as well as to enjoy the cool weather with clear skies. Karl the Fog has a tendency to visit and hang around The City in July and August. Daily high temperatures are around 67 degrees rarely falling below 60 degrees or exceeding 77 degrees. Daily low temperatures in May are around 54 degrees rarely falling below 50 degrees.
