April is one of the best months to visit San Francisco. Our weather is getting warmer, the days are getting sunnier and the summer fog (aka Karl the Fog) is still at least a few weeks away.
The weather here in San Francisco in April is mild and cool. Our temperatures during the day are in the mid-60s. At night, it dips down into the upper 50s.
April is often warm enough at mid-day that you can get by with some light layers, but you’ll need a bit more for evenings. April often has some of the sunniest days of the year. San Francisco City Guides recommends always dress in layers and wear comfortable walking shoes on our tours.
